Agenda Items: Advanced (Custom Questions)
Using Custom Questions to Collect Information About Agenda Items
Note: This is a legacy feature used prior to development of the Forms > Agenda section. Best Practice: Consult with Customer Support before using it.To gather more information than is possible via the options available on an Agenda Section, you can assign a custom question to the agenda item. For example, a registrant who selects Yes for a tour might be asked to enter the number of tickets requested.
Agenda items and their custom questions are displayed to a registrant in the Agenda Section of a registration form. This method can display the questions to the registrant, but this method is not recommended. Instead, use a Questions section or a logic rule.
By default, an agenda item is displayed as a pre-designed Ticket -type question/answer format. In addition to a Ticket -type custom question, you can display a custom question/answer as a radio button, check box, select, select multiple, or integer.
Answer option values must be numeric values greater than zero, such as 1, 2, 3, ....
Any answer option that is not a numeric value will not be saved, and the data will be lost.
> Caution: You cannot remove a question from an agenda item. > Instead, you would need to delete the agenda item itself, and add a new one to replace it
> Warning: Do not use the Sel? and Web? options for answers to Agenda Item Questions.
These options are available for answer values. These options can remove Agenda Items from a registration. The Answer Value is directly linked to the Quantity of the agenda item. Setting an agenda item question to have an answer value with Sel? or Web? selected will cause those values to be removed from an existing registration when the registrant goes through the form.
