Basic Configuration Alert Name Alert Name is required. Alert Name identifies the alert uniquely. Alerts are often named after the Attendee Type(s) watched.

Active From To Active From ___ To ___ define the date range during which check-ins may generate the alert. The date range is in mm/dd/yyyy format. Pacific Time is used.

Triggers A VIP Alert may have any number of Organizations and/or Attendee Types selected to watch. Watching restricts the list of attendees you can select for the alert.

Organizations to Watch Organizations to Watch is a list of the organizations selected in step 2 of the Create VIP Alert wizard. This limits the list of attendees available to watch for alerts. Change Choice of Organizations – Click to display the list of all organizations on attendees' profile records, as shown in Step 2 ("Choose Organizations") of the Create VIP Alert wizard. If any attendee types are selected (see the next section), this list includes only those organizations with attendees of that type. To add an organization to the list for the alert, select its check box. To remove one from the list, deselect its check box.

Attendee Types to Watch Attendee Types to Watch is a list of the attendee types selected in step 3 ("Choose Attendee Types") of the Create VIP Alert wizard. This limits the list of attendees available to watch for alerts. Change Choice of Attendee Types – Click to display the list of all attendee types assigned to attendees, as shown in Step 3 of the Create VIP Alert wizard. If any organizations have been selected above, this list includes only the attendee types assigned to attendees from those organizations. To add an attendee type to the list for the alert, select its check box. To remove one from the list, deselect its check box. An alert must have at least one Organization or Attendee Type selected, but does not have to have both. It may have any number of either.

Attendees to Watch Attendees to Watch is a list of the specific attendees selected in step 4 ("Choose Specific Attendees") of the Create VIP Alert wizard. When any of these attendees are checked in by Certain Check-In, an SMS alert will be sent to the relevant contact(s). Change Choice of Specific Attendees – Click to display the list of all the attendees from the selected organization(s) or with the selected attendee type(s). To add an attendee to the list for the alert, select the check box for that row. To remove one from the list, deselect the check box.

Contacts Contacts is a list of the contacts to receive the alert, as set up in step 5 ("Choose Contacts") of the Create VIP Alert wizard. Clear All – Delete all contacts for this alert. Caution: You must then add at least one contact before you can save your changes. To edit or add a contact: Name – The contact's name. Text-Enabled Phone – Select the country dialing code (default: United States (+1)), and enter the contact's phone number. New Contact – Click to add an extra row in which to enter details of another contact. (Repeat as necessary, for more contacts.)
