Overview
This page helps customize the app experience for Certain Check-In. The Certain Check-In app is used on-site to check attendees in. For background, see the Check-In > Basic help topic. See Also lists other related topics.
Session Configuration page
On this Session Configuration page, you can enable session check-ins. You can then choose which sessions are allowed walk-ins, if any.
Notes
Changes made here affect the Check-In app only when Speaker and Session Management is enabled for the event.

Attendance settings for Sessions
Check-In Enabled for Sessions – Set to On to enable session check-in. This makes a Sessions tab available in the app. A user will be able to scan attendees into sessions for which they have registered. If a session is set here to allow attendance without pre-registration (see below), then the user can register them.
Walk-in attendance This panel is shown when session check-in is enabled. There are three options to determine whether event attendees are allowed to arrive at a session without pre-registration. If allowed, attendees can be registered at the door using the Check-In app.
- No – All attendees at every session must be pre-registered for that session.
- Only to THESE sessions – Select the sessions to which attendees may come even if not pre-registered for them.
- Yes, to ALL non-fee sessions – Attendees may come to any session (provided it has no fee), even if not pre-registered for it.
How to configure 1. Click Select Sessions to Add or Remove. 2. Note: Only published, scheduled session instances without fees are listed for selection. (Sessions with fees require pre-registration.) 3. A scheduled session instance is one that has been assigned to a location and date/time. For example, you might allow the Monday 10:30 occurrence of a session to have walk-ins, but not the Tuesday 9:30 occurrence of the same session. 4. A session is published for the selected attendee types on the Sessions page. 5. Select the check boxes for the sessions you want to add to the list. 6. Click Save Selections. 7. The numbers of attendees at the selected sessions will be limited only by session capacity, as defined on the Sessions page. 8. All other sessions will be limited to those who have pre-registered for them. 9. To remove a selected session from the list, click the X at the end of the row, or click Select Sessions to Add or Remove and clear that session's check box.
Walk-ins override capacity If Check-In is enabled for Sessions, the option to allow walk-ins to override session capacity appears when you select Only to THESE sessions or Yes, to ALL non-fee sessions above. If selected, walk-in registrations can exceed the session capacity.
