Content Blocks (At Account Level)

Introduction

On this Content Blocks page, you can set up account-level blocks of HTML content. This article describes account-level content blocks.

Note that the Event Setup > Content Display > Content Blocks area supports event-level content blocks. The account-level setup means defining shared content once. Shared content means content that multiple events use.

Shared content examples include a display-shell footer. Shared content also means common HTML content across multiple events. If shared content exists, setting content blocks up at the account level avoids separate setup in each event.

You can use content blocks in the following places:

A content block can be displayed by selecting it in the same way as dynamic data fields. A content block is selected from the same drop-down lists as dynamic data fields.

You can also display a content block conditionally by setting up Display Rules in an event. The event path is Event Setup > Display Rules: .

When composing an , you can select display rules. Display rules use the same selection approach as content blocks and dynamic data fields. Display rules are selected by appending selected display rules to the email body.

When an email is generated, the content block(s) selected in the rule are displayed if rule conditions are met.

Example: A rule could display a content block with text relevant to C-Suite executives only if the profile's Position is "CEO" or "CMO".

Quick Tips

To add a new content block, click the Add New button.

To edit a block, click in its row in the List of Content Blocks. In both cases, the list is replaced by the Content Block Details section. The Content Block Details section is described below.

To delete a block, click to edit it. Then click the Delete button at the bottom of the page.

List of Content Blocks

A list of all current account-level content blocks appears in the List of Content Blocks section. This list may be a list.

Add New opens a new block in the Content Block Details section. Actions is a heading for the following icons:

Click Save to save the block and return to the List of Content Blocks. Click Save & New to save the block and create a new one.
