Introduction
On this Content Blocks page, you can set up account-level blocks of HTML content.
Note that you can also set up event-level content blocks in Event Setup > Content Display > Content Blocks. If content is common to multiple events, setting content blocks up at the account level means only needing to do so once. Setting content blocks at the account level avoids setting content blocks separately in each event.
You can use content blocks in the following places:
- Email Templates
- Speaker Email Templates
- Reviewer Email Templates
- Digital Event Templates
- Forms
- Websites
- Event Display Shell
- Printable Confirmations
A content block can be displayed by selecting it in the same way as you would any dynamic data field. You can select the content block from the same drop-down lists.
You can display a content block conditionally by setting up Display Rules in an event. Use Event Setup > Display Rules.
When you compose an Email Template, you can select display rules in the same way that you select a content block or dynamic data fields. You can select display rules from the same list. Display rules append to the email body.
When the email is generated, the content block(s) selected in the rule are displayed if the conditions in the rule are met.
Example: A rule could display a content block with text relevant to C-Suite executives only if the profile's Position is "CEO" or "CMO".
