Create a Registration

Contact Information

Contact Information is the data about the attendee entered on the registration form. The Plan > Forms > Registrant Details page determines exactly what information is collected from the attendee on the form. Usually, the attendee enters Contact Information on the registration form. However, you can manually enter the information on the registration page for the attendee. Manual entry is useful if the attendee calls with a change in his or her information or you notice an error.

Note

The Registration information is the same as the information entered for each profile. This information pertains to one event, while profile information can be used for any event associated with your account.

Registration Information

Registration Information is basic data about the registration for the current attendee, including attendee type and status. The options for attendee type and status are entered in the Event Setup area.

Attendee Type

Attendee Type is the attendee type and fee. If you select the attendee type alone, the fee (if any) is applied based on the registration date and fee date. Select the attendee type and fee option to explicitly assign a fee for this registration. For example, if someone registers after the early registration fee ends, but they have a special situation and should receive the early fee.

Status

Status is the registration status (requested invitation, invited, registered, cancelled, etc.). Changing the registration status may result in an automatic action, such as an email being sent or a credit card being charged.

Note

Changing the status to "Cancelled" will automatically change the registration fee (if any) to the cancelled fee (if any), and vice versa. Also note that when a registration is canceled, any hotel and agenda item reservations will also be canceled automatically.

Properties

Properties is a set of fields that helps the planner manage the life cycle of registrations.

On To Do List

On To Do List is a checkbox. On To Do List indicates that the registration should be added to the "To Do" list for the event. The feature is useful if notes are left in the registration notes field and you want to remind yourself or another user of follow-up action needed for the registration.

Invoice Generated is a checkbox. This indicates that an invoice has been generated for the registration.
