Access and purpose
- Display fields are located under Account Settings > Management > Display Fields.
- Only administrators have access to this area and the ability to create custom display fields.
- Display fields configure your event's display.
- Display fields can be created and then added to the Primary Display or to the Extended Display as Dynamic Data fields.
- Once created on the account, the display fields will show in the event under Plan > Content Display > Display fields.
Examples and field types
- An example is adding the logo or a banner image to your event.
- The logo or banner is typically an image.
- You can create a display field for the logo or banner.
- The display field uses the question type Image.
- To create a file type Display field, click Add New.
- Select the question type Image.
- Add a name.
- Add a code.
- Add a label; for example banner.
- Save.
- You can update the event display by adding the newly created display field as a Dynamic Data field.
Placement and HTML integration
- A sample script is available for placement in the Shell Header.
- The Shell Header contains HTML to include above the main page table.
- For this setup, you will need to know or have advanced knowledge of HTML.
Navigation and display fields view
- Navigate back to the event.
- Go to Plan > Content Display > Display fields.
- The display fields created on the account will show here.
Usage in events
- Any event builder can upload an image for an updated banner.
- The upload can occur from event to event by uploading an image here.
Limitation
- Note: Each account can have up to 45 Display Fields.
