Enable Forgot Password
These fields are added to the form Entry section when you select the Enable Forgot Password option there.
They determine what the registrant sees: 1. On the Entry page itself, to say they’ve forgotten their password 2. When they click the Forgot Password link on the Entry page 3. When they click the Click here to reset your password link in the email.
For the text fields, you can use the default values, or configure any or all of them.
1. On the Entry page
- Forgot Password Link – The link the registrant clicks to start the password-reset process.
2. Window seen when requesting a password reset
- Forgot Password Header – The header of the window on which they request a password reset, and the one in which they later reset their password.
- Email Address Placeholder – The prompt text in the field in which they enter their email address.
- Send Password Message – Text explaining what to do.
- Send Password Button Text – Label of button to click to send email to registrant (using "Forgot Password" email template).
- Close Window Button Text – Label of button to close the window.
3. Window seen when entering new password
- Password Sent Caption – Preliminary line of message confirming the email has been sent.
- Password Sent Message – Text of message confirming the email has been sent.
- Link Has Expired – Error message displayed if the registrant has clicked a link that’s expired.
- Link Is Invalid – The error message displayed if the registrant has clicked an invalid link.
- Enter New Password Caption – Label for field in which they enter their new password.
- New Password Placeholder – The prompt text in the field in which they enter their new password.
- Confirm New Password Placeholder – The prompt text in the field in which they confirm their new password.
- Change Password Button – Label on button to change password.
- No Email Address – Error displayed if no email address entered.
- Email Address Not Found – Error displayed if no profile record has the email address entered.
- No Password – Error displayed if no password entered.
- No Confirm Password – Error displayed if no confirmation password entered.
- Passwords Do Not Match – Error displayed if confirmation password entered does not match new password entered.
- Password Changed – Message displayed when password has been successfully changed.
Other options
- Enable password strength indicator – Select this check box to add a visual display indicating the strength of the new password.
