Access: (Event) > Plan > Forms > (form) > Entry
These fields are added to the form Entry section when you select the Enable Forgot Password option there. They determine what the registrant sees: on the Entry page itself, to say they've forgotten their password; when the registrant clicks the Forgot Password link on the Entry page; and when the registrant clicks the link to reset their password in the email. For the text fields, the default values can be used, or any or all of them can be configured.
1. On the Entry Page
- Forgot Password Link is the link the registrant clicks to start the password-reset process.
- Default value is 'Forgot Password?'
2. Window seen when requesting a password reset
- Forgot Password Header is the header of the window in which the registrant requests a password reset and the header of the window in which the registrant resets the password.
- Default value is 'Forgot Password'.
- Email Address Placeholder is the prompt text in the field in which the registrant enters the email address.
- Default value is 'Email Address'.
- Send Password Message is text explaining what to do.
- Default value is "your email password to start the password reset process."
- Send Password Button Text is the label of the button to click to send email to registrant (using "Forgot Password" email template).
- Default value is 'Send Password Reset Email'.
- Close Window Button Text is the label of the button to close the window.
- Default value is 'CLOSE'.
3. Window seen when entering new password
- Password Sent Caption is the preliminary line of message confirming the email has been sent.
- Default value is 'Success!'
- Password Sent Message is the text of the message confirming the email has been sent.
- Default value is "An email has been sent to the address you entered, containing a link to enter a new password. To continue with this reset process please close this window and click on that link."
- Link Has Expired is the error message displayed if the registrant has clicked a link that's expired.
- Default value is "The link you have used has expired; password reset links must be used within 24 hours. your email address again to receive a new link."
- Link Is Invalid is the error message displayed if the registrant has clicked an invalid link.
- Default value is "The link you have used did not match the most recent password reset; please make sure you are using the most recent reset password link, or enter your email address again to receive a new link."
- Enter New Password Caption is the label for the field in which the registrant enters their new password.
- Default value is 'Enter your new password.'
- New Password Placeholder is the prompt text in the field in which they enter their new password.
- Default value is 'New Password'
- Confirm New Password Placeholder is the prompt text in the field in which they confirm their new password.
- Default value is 'Confirm New Password'
- Change Password Button is the label on the button to change password.
- Default value is 'Change Password'
- No Email Address is the error displayed if no email address entered.
- Default value is 'You must enter an email address to begin the password reset process.'
- Email Address Not Found is the error displayed if no profile record has the email address entered.
- Default value is 'There is no record with that email address.'
- No Password is the error displayed if no password entered.
- Default value is 'You must enter a new password.'
- No Confirm Password is the error displayed if no confirmation password entered.
- Default value is 'You must enter a confirm password.'
- Passwords Do Not Match is the error displayed if confirmation password entered does not match new password.
- Default value is 'The passwords you entered do not match.'
- Password Changed is the message displayed when the password has been changed.
- Default value is "Your password has been changed.<br>Please log in with your new password after closing this window."
- Enable password strength indicator is an option to add a visual display indicating the strength of the new password. (It's a growing line that is red, amber or green.)
