Event Setup: Attendee Types

Overview

Attendee Types identify different types of participants within your Event.

Examples include Attendee, Exhibitor, Speaker, and Staff.

You can create any number of Attendee Types for an event.

A default Attendee Type named Attendee is included in any new Event.

You can rename, edit, or delete the default Attendee Type as necessary.

Possible uses for Attendee Types

Setting up new Attendee Types

1. Navigate to Plan > Event Setup > Attendee Types.

2. Click the Add New button to create a new Attendee Type for your event.

3. Enter a Name for the Attendee Type.

4. Examples for the Name field include Attendee, Member, and Exhibitor.

5. Enter a Code for the Attendee Type that you will recognize in reports.

6. Enter a Display for Reg Form name that will appear on the Registration Form.

7. If you do not enter a value here, the Name field value will populate this Display field when you click Save.

8. Create a Passcode to restrict access to the Attendee Type on the registration form.

9. If entering a passcode, the registration form must begin with the Entry page.

10. If you need to set a limit on how many people can be in this Attendee Type, enter the limit in the Capacity field.

11. Default Status is the Registration Status that a Registration will start in when created in this Attendee Type.

12. The Default Status is “New” but you may select a different Default Status from the dropdown menu if needed.

13. Attendee Type Group may be used to group similar Attendee Types on reports.

14. Confirmation Text will be added to the general content of the event confirmations.

15. Only Registrations that are assigned to the Attendee Type will see this text.

16. Click Save to add the Attendee Type.

17. Click Save & New to add an additional Attendee Type.
