Exporting Content from a Previous Event to a Future Event

Overview

Content can be exported from a previous event or event template to a future event directly within the Touchpoint CMS from any of the following areas:

The Agenda Sessions area excludes attached location, participant type(s), speaker(s), group term(s), education credit(s), related link(s), and live poll.

Export within the Touchpoint CMS

1. Navigate to the previous event or event template's content page (i.e., Speakers, Attendees, etc.). 2. On the content list, check the box next to the item(s) you would like to export to a future event. 3. Once desired items are selected, click the Export button. 4. Under the "Copy Selected to a Future Event", select the future event. 5. Click OK to Confirm the export. 6. Go to the content page of your future event to confirm the export.

Export to Excel from a Previous Event and Import to a Future Event

In some cases, such as exporting Agenda Sessions from a previous event to a future event, you may need to make some changes first to session dates/times, as well as to include locations, participant types, speakers, etc. that are not included when exporting within the Touchpoint CMS. In these cases, you will need to first export your content to an Excel spreadsheet, then import that spreadsheet to a future event.

1. Navigate to the previous event or event template's content page (i.e., Speakers, Attendees, etc.). 2. On the content page, click the Export button. 3. Select the option, "All to Excel". 4. Once the spreadsheet is downloaded, save it to your computer, and navigate to the content page of your future event. 5. Click Import > Excel, and complete the import process with the spreadsheet of content from your previous event.
