Overview
When creating forms, viewing the form you are working on is useful.
This allows you to see the effect of form settings changes immediately.
There are two ways of doing this. Use whichever method suits your workflow best.
1. Use Split Screen Edit Mode
- Enable split screen edit mode for that form in Forms > Setup.
- Split screen edit mode allows editing the form while displaying both views at the same time.
- When logging into the Certain admin interface and viewing the attendee registration form, you see a gear icon on the left of each form section header.
- Click the gear icon to display a split screen view: one frame with the attendee view of the form, and one frame with the admin-side configuration screen for that form section.
- Example of how the form is displayed when a form is previewed.
2. Toggle between Preview and Edit
- Preview the form in a separate browser window to toggle between Certain and the form preview.
- There are two ways to preview a form:
- Click Preview in the lower left corner of any page in the Plan > Forms area.
- In the list of the event's forms, Plan > Forms > (Forms List), click the name of the form.
- After making changes to Form settings in Certain, toggle back to the form preview.
- For example, you can click the icon on the Windows task bar.
- Or you can use the ALT-TAB key combination on your keyboard.
- Once you see the form preview window, refresh the display.
- Refresh can be performed by pressing the F5 key or by selecting View > Refresh.
