General FAQ - Importing Registration Data
Registrations can be created from existing data. The page describes methods to import registrations into the registrations database for an event, to create registrations from a group of profiles, and to enable attendees to register using their existing profile.
Import Data Into the Registrations Database
There are four ways to import registrations into your event. One import option is an external data file. Another import option is Salesforce. Another import option is Eloqua. Another import option is Marketo. On the Event Dashboard (Manage > Registrations), the Import button enables the planner to upload an external data file to the server, map the columns of the data file to those of the registrations database, and preview the data upload. Import Salesforce Members
If an organization uses Salesforce, Salesforce members can be imported as registrations. See Manage > Registrations > Import Salesforce members for details.
Import Eloqua Contacts
If an organization uses Eloqua for marketing automation, Eloqua contacts can be imported as registrations. This requires an administrator to set up an Eloqua plugin for your account. See details of running the Import Eloqua Contacts as registrations job in Configure > Connectors.
Import Marketo Leads
If an organization uses Marketo for marketing automation, Marketo leads can be imported as registrations. This requires an administrator to set up a Marketo plugin for your account. See details of running the Import Marketo Leads as registrations job in Configure > Connectors.
Create Registrations from a Group of Profiles
The planner can create registrations for an event from the profiles database of that event's account. This is done by selecting a group of profiles (using Profiles > QuickSearch), then clicking Create Registrations. This button enables the planner to assign the event, attendee type, and registration status for the profile records being imported. Enable Attendees to Use their Profile Record to Create a New Registration for Themselves
If individuals from a profile database are invited to register for an event, they can use their profile username and password to access their profile information and create a registration for themselves via an online registration form. How to enable profiles to access their information online.
