Import Registration Data

This page is available to Administrators, and to Event Builders who have the Import Registration Data user access option selected on their user record.

Here you can import registrations, registration agenda items, or registration session instance from an external file directly into the registrations database for an event.

(For registrations, that can include updating existing registrations.)

Select the type of data you'd like to import

Registration Agenda – Assign, update and cancel non-fee based agenda items on existing registrations. Although this is for new registrations, you can also import changes to existing registrations. See Import Registration Agenda for details (including video).
Import/Update Registrations – Import registrations (and profiles). See Import/Update Registrations for details (including video).
Import Session Instances – Assign, update and cancel session instances on existing registrations. See Import Registration Session Instances for details (including video).

Whichever one you pick, the process consists of these overall steps:

1. Prepare the external data file to be imported.

For Registrations that is a tab-delimited file.
For Registration Agenda that is an Excel or CSV file.
For Session Instances that is an Excel or CSV file.

2. Upload that file to the server.

3. Map the columns in the data file to fields in the database.

4. Start the import.
