Merchandise items are physical items, usually takeaways. Examples: t-shirts, books, posters, CDs, etc.
To Add, Edit, Delete, or Copy Merchandise items
Add an item
To add an item, click Add New in the Item List header.
The Details panel opens.
If the list is collapsed, click to expand it and show the Add New button.
Edit an item
To edit an item, click in the Item List.
The Details panel opens.
Delete or Copy an item
To delete or copy an item, click the icon in the Item List.
> Note: Import: To import Merchandise Items, see Import on the Agenda page. > Export: To export a list of Merchandise Items, possibly for editing and re-importing, see Export on the Agenda page.
Item List
The Item List is a list of the Merchandise items in this event. This may be a multi-page list.

Item List actions and controls
- Add New – Create a new Merchandise item, in the Details pane that opens.
(If the list is collapsed, click to expand it and show the Add New button.)
- Search – Search for an item by typing any part of its name.
- Filter By – Limit the list by selecting a Type.
(All items are listed unless you apply a filter.)
- Click above a column to sort the list by that data:
- Name
- Type
- Inv – Inventory.
("Unltd." = unlimited, set by entering zero in Inventory field.)
- Sold – Number sold.
- Wait – Number on waiting list.
- Avail – Number still available, if Inventory set.
- Actions – These icons:
1. Edit the agenda item in the Details panel that opens
2. (on hover) Delete the item.
Note: You cannot delete an item that's in use (assigned to an attendee).
3. Copy the agenda item
Custom Merchandise Types
Every Merchandise item is of one type. This can be the default type, Item, or a custom type that you add in this section. (See the Details topic.)
1. The existing custom types are listed. 2. Click to collapse the list. 3. Click to expand a collapsed list (and show the Add New button).
Add a new type
To add a new Type to the list:
1. Click Add New
2. A pop-up Add New Custom Type window opens
3. Type a Name for the new Type
4. Click Save
5. The pop-up window closes, and your new Type is included in the list.

Edit a custom type
To edit a custom type, click.
> Note 1: You can only edit the Name.
> Note 2: You could, however, use Organize Agenda Categories on Event Setup > Agenda to move a custom type from "Merchandise" to a different category, such as Scheduled.
> Caution: That would also change the category of all the Merchandise items of that custom type.
> For example, instead of being Merchandise they would become Scheduled.
Delete a custom type
To delete a custom type, click (when you hover over the icon).
> Note: You cannot delete a type that's in use (assigned to a Merchandise item).
Copy a custom type
To copy a custom type, click.
Merchandise Groups & Classifications
To help you manage Merchandise items, each one (as described in Details) can be assigned a Group, and/or a Classification. You set those groupings up in this section.
- Any existing Groups and Classifications for Merchandise items are listed.
- To add one to the list:
1. Click Add New
2. A pop-up Add Group or Classification window opens
3. Type a Name
4. Select Group or Classification
5. Click Save
6. The pop-up window closes, and your new entry is included in the list.

Edit a group or classification
To Edit a group or classification, click.
> Note: You can only edit the Name.
> You cannot change its designation from Group to Classification, or from Classification to Group.
Delete a group or classification
To delete a group or classification, click (when you hover over the icon).
> Note: If you try to delete one that's in use (is assigned to a Merchandise Item), you are prompted for confirmation.
Copy a group or classification
To copy a group or classification, click.
