Modifying Event Settings under Event Options

The Event Options page (Plan > Configure > Options) allows you to configure Event settings and turn Modules on or off for each Event.

The majority of the Settings have been configured in Templates and on Account Settings. The Settings are based on the services you have purchased. A few Settings and Modules can be modified specifically for each Event. These Settings and Modules include Automatic Event Waitlisting, Custom Registration Properties, and Functional Areas.

Automatic Event Waitlisting

Automatic Event Waitlisting is an option that controls waitlisting behavior when Event Registration Capacity is set.

If an Event has an Event Registration Capacity, Registrants can be automatically waitlisted for the Event once it is full. If spaces become available, waitlisted Registrants can be registered automatically. Enabling Automatic Event Waitlisting allows Certain to automatically process waitlisted Registrations for the Event.

> NOTE: An event registration capacity must be set within Event Details before Event Waitlist Automation can be enabled.

Custom Registration Properties

Custom Registration Properties are flags that use Yes or No values to track whether particular actions have been performed on a Registration.

Custom Registration Properties enable tracking of whether particular actions have been performed on a Registration. Custom Registration Properties are displayed in the Registration Information section at the bottom of each Attendee's Profile page.

Example

Some Registrants may need a visa letter to attend the Event. A Custom Registration Property labeled "Visa Letter Sent" can be created. After the visa letter is sent, the "Visa Letter Sent" checkbox can be selected on the Attendee's Profile Page. The default value is unchecked.

Functional Areas Needed by This Event

Functional Areas Needed by This Event is a section that selects Product Modules needed in an Event.

Functional Areas Needed by This Event selects Product Modules such as Travel, Agenda, Badge, etc. needed in the Event. Functional Areas Needed by This Event selects the appropriate check boxes for the available Modules in the Account. If a Module is selected, the corresponding section is expanded. Functional Areas Needed by This Event can select individual Sub-Modules when Sub-Modules are available.

The options you select determine the Pages, Form Sections, and Reports that are available in the Event. Modules can also be turned off from this section.
