With the release of Certain 8.0 comes a number of improvements to the Event Reports area. Small touches, like the ability to search reports, the grouping of column fields, and providing more details around Report Types are geared towards simplifying the process of creating, updating, and finding Event-level Reports.
Improvements to the Report List page
The Report List page has been given a cosmetic overhaul. A search ability has been added to the top of the list. No more having to scroll through all your custom reports to find that single report you need ASAP!
Identify the Report you need to create, faster!
When adding a Report, the Report Type selection area is easier to navigate. When you select the type, a description and example are displayed. This display makes it easier to identify which report type to use to get the results you are looking for.
Easier to locate the correct Data Fields for Report Columns
With so many fields that you can add as columns to reports, it can be difficult to identify which are important and what they refer to. With the 8.0 update, the Available Data Fields for Columns now have group headers to help you find the fields that you want to include in your reports.
Advanced Options
To clean up the Navigation area in reports and help focus on the most used areas, some of the less used Advanced reports features were grouped into one area labeled "Advanced".
Groups
Groups create summary reports by combining up to three columns. Groups create summary reports by hiding the report details and selecting the number of records next to each group.
Subtotals
Subtotals sum and display Min/Max values. Subtotals sum and display Min/Max values for numeric fields in your printable reports. Subtotals also display the number of records in the report as well as the grouping.
Page
Page customization customize the header and footer of your report. Page customization append and display standard report configuration. Page customization provide options to display standard and custom event information.
Export
Export set up three actions to be performed on export of the report. Export setup of export options includes a selection of Export actions. Export includes a warning: "Be careful with this one!"
Custom
Custom create up to 20 custom columns by merging values from multiple columns into a single column. Custom group multiple columns into one and display the first non-blank value. Custom also combine the text and html with report values to create dynamic URLs.
