Section 1: 1. Event Configuration
Pages: 1-1Event Configuration changes the content and design elements for the event website and form. The section explains how content blocks and layout are adjusted to fit the event’s needs. The modifications apply to the main event page and the associated registration or submission forms. Administrators can plan how information appears to attendees through configurable blocks. The section describes where configuration options live within the Excel file and how they influence the rendered site. The content covers the scope of what can be configured, including the arrangement of text blocks and controls that affect visual presentation. The guidance focuses on organizing events by defining which sections appear, their order, and how sections interact on the page. The Event Configuration section serves as a foundational guide for structuring information in the Power Template’s Excel-driven setup. This section helps ensure consistent presentation across event pages by documenting the configuration decisions available to organizers. The goal is to provide a clear, repeatable pattern for configuring event content that translates into predictable rendering on the site.
Section 2: 2. Banner Section
Pages: 1-1Banner Section describes how banner content is managed within the Excel file. The section notes that multiple banner images can be used and that images cycle automatically in a five-second interval. Each row supports separate images for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile viewports to ensure device-appropriate presentation. When Tablet or Mobile images are missing, the Desktop image is used by default. Banner images may be cropped or cut off when the system resizes them to fit the device. Each row allows overlay content such as Sub-Heading, Heading, and Description on the image; this overlay content is optional. To update the banner, administrators upload image files to the Assets and copy the file paths into the Image Path column. Asset location is found under Plan > Display > Assets, with a right-click option to Copy File Path. The section provides a practical workflow for maintaining banner imagery that adapts across devices and preserves overlay text styling.
Section 3: 3. Agenda Section
Pages: 1-1Agenda Section covers how to configure agenda content, including Sub-Heading and Heading. Agenda items do not require a Speaker image, Speaker Name, or Speaker Title, which can be left blank if not applicable. When adding a new Day, the Excel sheet should include a blank row above it to separate days clearly. To assign images to agenda items, use the Image Path column and upload images to Assets, then copy the file path into the same column. Assets are accessed via Plan > Display > Assets, with the standard copy path workflow. The section guides organizers on structuring day-by-day activity and visuals within the agenda portion of the event site. Clear organization of days, sections, and imagery helps attendees navigate the schedule efficiently.
Section 4: 4. Speaker Section
Pages: 1-1Speaker Section focuses on the content within the Speaker area, including Sub-Heading, Heading, and Background Image. The section explains how to add or update speaker images through the Assets workflow and copy image paths into the Image Path column. Assets are located under Plan > Display > Assets, with a right-click “Copy File Path” action to complete the process. The section emphasizes that speaker-related content can be enhanced with imagery to support attendee engagement. It provides a straightforward path to link visuals with speaker details and background imagery, enabling consistent presentation across speaker entries.
Section 5: 5. Sponsor Section
Pages: 1-1Sponsor Section describes how to modify sponsor content, including Sub-Heading, Heading, and Description. The Type column enables categorization of sponsors into tiers, allowing organizers to label and group sponsors as they see fit. The Link column supports attaching a clickable hyperlink to a sponsor’s image, enhancing interactivity. Updating sponsor imagery follows the same Assets workflow used in other sections: upload images to Assets and copy the file path into the Image Path column. The section explains how to associate sponsor images with their respective links and how tier labeling can organize sponsorship presentation. This structured approach helps maintain a clean, navigable sponsor area on the event site.
Section 6: 6. Venue Section
Pages: 1-1Venue Section explains content changes for the Venue area, including Sub-Heading and Heading. A Venue Section can list multiple venues, with one venue per row. If multiple venues exist, the list may alternate or switch focus as the page renders. Each venue can display an Embed Map or an Image adjacent to its information. To embed a map, the guide provides steps: open Google Maps, share, embed a Map, copy HTML, and paste into the Excel sheet. For images, the process uses the Assets workflow: upload the image, copy the File Path, and paste into Image Path. Each venue entry can include an external website button with a Label and Hyperlink, enabling direct booking or venue information. The Venue Section emphasizes flexibility in presenting location data alongside map or image visuals and action buttons.
Section 7: 7. FAQ Section
Pages: 1-1FAQ Section details how to configure content within the FAQ area, focusing on the Heading and Description. The Category column is provided to group FAQs into customizable categories. Organizers can title categories to reflect topic areas and improve navigability for attendees. The section notes that related articles can follow the main FAQ content, guiding readers to additional resources. The FAQ configuration supports organizing common questions and responses in a structured, easily searchable format. By enabling category-based organization and clear section headings, the FAQ area becomes a practical self-service resource for attendees and site visitors.
