This article explains how to add and configure a Questions section in a registration form within the Certain platform.
How to add a Questions section
- To add a Questions section to a registration form, click Add New.
- The Add New control is in the List of Questions Sections heading on the Plan > Forms > Questions page for that form.
How to edit a Questions section
- To edit an existing one, click Edit on its row in the list of Questions Sections on the Plan > Forms > Questions page for that form.
Section limits and behavior
- You can create up to 10 questions sections.
- Each Questions section may be configured with section display conditions to determine whether the section is displayed.
Questions Section Header
- Text Above Header is displayed above the header bar, at the top of the section.
- Header Text is displayed in the header bar (in a contrasting color).
- Text Below Header is displayed directly below the header.
- If you leave all three fields blank, the form shows no header for the section.
Questions Section Name
- Name is the name of the section.
- Name is required.
- Note: The Name must be unique in the event.
- Once a questions section is named and saved here, it is included in the Available Sections list on the Plan > Forms > Setup page, where you choose which sections to add to the form.
Show these Questions in this Section
- Choose Additional Questions is the control to select the questions to include.
- By default, all questions and headers are listed.
- You can limit the list to match by searching, or by selecting a question category.
- Optional: type any part of a question name to restrict the list to those which match.
Question Categories
- Optional: select a category to restrict the list to questions in that category:
- All Questions and Headers
- Profile Questions
- Registration Questions
- Agenda Questions
- Custom Headers
Questions to include
- The full list of questions to choose from includes:
- Custom Profile Questions — Profile questions in the account, set up by an Administrator on Account Settings > Registration > Profile Data
- Custom Registration Questions — Registration questions in the event, set up on Plan > Event Setup > Questions
- Custom Headers — Question Headers in the event, set up on Plan > Event Setup > Questions > 'Headers'
- Custom Agenda Questions — Legacy feature. See Agenda Items: Advanced (Custom Questions)
- You can also create new ones, with the same effect as going to Event Setup > Questions:
- Add a Header / Section Break — Add a new Question Header.
- Add a Custom Question — Add a new custom Registration Question.
Display Conditions
- Display Conditions has two options:
- Always display — If selected, the section will always be displayed on the form. No logic affects the display.
- Display ONLY if these conditions are met — If selected, enter the conditions to determine whether the section will be displayed. This is like a Logic Rule you would configure in a Logic section, but is built into the form section itself.
- Details of Section Display Conditions describe how the visibility logic is configured.
