Registration Confirmations
Audience
This article is intended for event organizers and administrators using the Certain platform.
Overview
Use this page to create a custom, personalized registration confirmation for the event.
Confirmation Text
- Confirmation Text allows you to insert dynamic data fields to customize the Subject, Header, Cancellation Policy/Refund Policy, or Footer.
- To insert a data field, select it from the Append list.
- Then click the button for one of the four sections.
- You may further customize the confirmation by typing additional text around the data fields.
- You may move the data fields to any position within the custom text.
- The Refund Policy is shown only to registrants who have charges for their registration.
- This information is not shown on the confirmation for no-fee events, nor to attendees who have no charges.
- If you want to display a generic "Cancellation Policy" to all registrants, whether they have charges or not, place that information in the confirmation's footer.
- You can insert a link to a Certain form.
- To do this, select the Append pull-down list and scroll to the end.
- From the Hyperlink to Form: (Form Name) items, click the button for the section to which you want to add the link.
- In the same way, you can add links to Event Views or to the Certain Mobile HTML5 app.
- You can also insert links to a form; the same process applies.
Barcodes
- Barcode inclusion is supported.
- Set up the barcode in Manage > Badges and Barcodes > Barcodes.
- On this Registration Confirmations page, click the spot in the Header at which to include the barcode.
- Click the Append drop-down list, and scroll down to the end.
- Select that barcode under Barcode Fields.
- Click the Header button to append the barcode.
Confirmation Section Headers
- Confirmation Section Headers enable you to customize the text displayed at the top of each section of the confirmation.
- If you leave any of the fields blank, then that section of registration information will not be printed on the confirmation.
- Otherwise, the registrant's information will be displayed beneath the section title provided in each text box.
- The Primary Reg section is only shown to the first registrant in an additional registration entry. It lists the other registrations on the order.
- The Additional Reg(s) section is only shown to the second (or later) registrants in an additional registration entry. It shows the name and email address of the primary registrant (the first registrant in a multiple registration entry).
HTML Editor
- Email confirmations can be sent as HTML, rather than as plain text.
- Select Send in HTML Format and click the HTML Editor button (</> in the lower right corner of text boxes) to open the HTML Editor.
