Quick Tips
- To add a new reviewer, click Add New.
- To edit an existing reviewer's record, click Actions in the Reviewer List panel.
- The Add Reviewer and Edit Reviewer options open a pop-up window.
- To run Mass Actions, select the reviewers and click Mass Actions.
Background
- The Reviewers page is used to add, edit, and view reviewers in the Speaker and Session Management module.
- The Speaker and Session Management module must be enabled for the event in Plan > Configure > Options > Functional Areas Needed by the Event.
- The Conference Sessions sub-module must be enabled as part of the Speaker and Session Management module.
- Reviewer records are automatically added to the account's Profile database, with additional information on this Reviewers page.
- An administrator can anonymize a reviewer’s record if asked to do so. This includes removing all Personal Identifying Information (PII) and optionally deactivating the record: see Profile Anonymization.
- PII stands for Personal Identifying Information.
Related Info
- Reviewers may edit their own records via the Reviewer Portal—the same place they review the papers assigned to them.

Buttons
- Add New — Add a new reviewer, in the Add Reviewer pop-up window.
- Import — Import reviewers from an Excel file or a CSV file. See Import below.
- Export — Export all reviewers to an Excel file or a CSV file. You could, for example, then make changes and additions, and Import the amended file.
- Note: If a filter is applied to the list, then the same filter applies to the export.
- Note: Google Drive may be needed to view exports that include non-standard characters. This is especially important if you will be editing and re-importing the data.
- The Mass Actions button is disabled by default. To enable Mass Actions, select some reviewers in the Reviewer List.
- Mass Actions enables actions on multiple reviewers. The following options are available:
- Tier — Select a Tier to assign all selected reviewers to. This replaces whichever tier they are already assigned to.
- Track — Define one or more Tracks to assign all selected reviewers to. These Tracks are added to any Tracks to which the reviewers are already assigned.
- If you select a Track, you can assign one or more of its sub-tracks, if the Track has any.
- A reviewer assigned to a sub-track can only review papers that are in that sub-track.
- A reviewer assigned to a track and not specifically to any of its sub-tracks can review papers in all of its sub-tracks.

- By default, all reviewers are listed.
- To filter the list, enter values in the fields and click the magnifying glass.

Reviewer List (table)
| First Name | Last Name | Organization | Email | Tier | Track(s) | Actions |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
- Actions column includes icons to View the reviewer’s details, Edit the reviewer’s details in the Edit Reviewer pop-up window, and Delete the reviewer.
- Warning: Deleting a reviewer also deletes their reviews and may change the review statistics for sessions (numbers and percentages of reviews completed).
Import
- To import reviewers, click the Import button (top right).
- The import file must be an Excel file (.xls or .xlsx) or a CSV file (.csv).
- It must include all the required fields: First Name, Last Name, Email, Tier, and Track(s).
- If Track(s) has more than one value for a reviewer, import those values in one cell, separating them with |. For example, "Customer Focus|Technical".
- Fields must match any validation mentioned in Add Reviewer or Edit Reviewer:
- Gender must be "Male" or "Female" (or blank)
- Date of Birth must be a valid date in mm/dd/yyyy format (or blank)
- etc.
- Note: The Username must be unique in the account. (See Add/Edit Reviewer.)
- The import file cannot include a Profile Picture.
- Suggestion: Use Step 1 below to download a template, which has the columns named appropriately. That makes the mapping in Step 3 below more likely to map columns automatically.
- Steps to follow to import reviewers:
1. In the first step of the wizard you can click a link to download a template Excel file to populate.
2. If you’re updating existing reviewers, you can choose to download a list of all reviewers for you to edit, save, and upload back.
3. Once you have a file ready to import, click Next in the first step.
4. Drop a file into step 2, or click Choose File and select the file to upload.
5. In the Reviewer Import step, map the columns in your import file to the Reviewer Field in Certain.
6. Click Complete Import to start or schedule the import process.
7. You receive an email advising that the import is complete, and details of any rows that failed to import (for example, because they didn’t match the validation rules mentioned above).
