This page provides guidance for managing session reviews within the Certain Speakers and Sessions portals.
Audience This page is for event planners using the Speakers and Sessions Portal to manage sessions and their reviews.

Hints
- First select the list of sessions to view: Submitted, Under Review, or Approved.
- To approve a session, click the Accept icon in the Submitted or Under Review list.
- To reject a session, click the Reject icon in the Submitted or Under Review list.
- To send a session for review, click the Send to Review icon in the Submitted or Under Review list.
- To process recommendations for sessions, click Recommendations in the Under Review list.
- To see the reviews for a session, click the Score in the Under Review list.
- To view a session, click the View icon in the Approved list.
- To edit a session, click the Edit icon in the Approved list.
- Note: If Automatic Processing has been configured for a session’s tier, you will not usually see or process that session’s recommendations here because they will be processed automatically after their criteria are met.
Buttons
- The Mass Actions button in the upper right corner is similar to the Mass Actions button on the Sessions page.
- Mass Actions is Disabled until you have selected sessions to process in bulk.
- Mass Actions runs Mass Actions on selected sessions. The actions described below apply to individual sessions as well.
- The three buttons at the top right of the list of sessions determine the list displayed: SUBMITTED, REVIEW, APPROVED.
Submitted Session List
- A list of sessions with a status of Submitted.
- These sessions have not yet been passed to a tier for review.
- A planner may change a session’s status back to Submitted from a more advanced status by using the Speakers and Sessions Edit tool.
- Note: Selected by default if Submitted is greater than zero.
- Filter
- By default, all submitted sessions are listed.
- To filter the list, enter values in the fields and click the magnifying glass.
- Clicking the X clears any filters applied.
- Track
- The Tracks defined for the event are available as a filter.
- The default is All.
- Type
- The Type options are Keynotes, Hands-on Labs, Breakout Sessions, Interactive Sessions, or one added for the event.
- The default is All.
- Session Name, Code, or Description
- Enter any part of a Session Name, Session Code, or Session Description.
- List
- The sessions are listed with the following columns: Session Name, Session Code, Session Type, Track, Actions.
- Actions
- Accept moves the session to Qualified.
- Reject moves the session to Rejected.
- Send to Review moves the session to a review tier if the event has multiple tiers.
- If the event has only one tier, the tier is selected automatically.
- The reviewer(s) assigned to the selected tier will be able to review the session using the Reviewer Portal.
- Note: The planner would have used this page to pass a session to a tier for review.
Under Review Session List
- A list of sessions with a status of Under Review.
- These sessions have been passed to a tier for review by a planner.
- The planner would have used the Reviewer Portal to review these sessions.
- Note: Selected by default if Submitted is zero.
- Recommendations
- Click Recommendations to see how many sessions have met any of the recommendation criteria set for the review tier.
- In the pop up window, Show Me lists those sessions.
- In the pop up window, Process automatically moves sessions that meet criteria to the next tier.
- The Recommendations button is disabled if no criteria have been met.
- When a session on the final tier has a recommendation to advance it to the next tier, Process is equivalent to a recommendation to approve it.
- Filter
- By default, all Under Review sessions are listed.
- To filter the list, enter values in the fields and click the magnifying glass.
- Clicking the X clears any filters applied.
- Track
- The Tracks defined for the event are available as a filter.
- Type
- The Type options are Keynotes, Hands-on Labs, Breakout Sessions, Interactive Sessions, or one added for the event.
- Min Score
- Select the minimum score (1–10). The default is no minimum score filter.
- Max Score
- Select the maximum score (1–10). The default is no maximum score filter.
- Review Percentage
- Select the percentage of completed reviews. The default is no percentage filter.
- Session Name, Code, or Description
- Enter any part of a Session Name, Session Code, or Session Description.
- Tier
- If multiple tiers exist, there is a tab for each tier.
- Click the tab to see sessions currently under review by that tier.
- List
- The sessions are listed with the columns Session Name, Session Code, Session Type, Track, Tier, Score.
- Actions
- Accept moves the session to Qualified.
- Reject moves the session to Rejected.
- Send to Review moves the session to the selected tier for review.
- If the event has multiple tiers, select the tier to send the session to for review.
- If the event has only one tier, the tier is selected automatically.
- The reviewer(s) assigned to the selected tier will be able to review the session using the Reviewer Portal.
- Approved
- The Reviewer Portal is available for this purpose.
Approved Session List
- A list of approved sessions meaning all those with statuses Qualified, Published, or Scheduled.
- Qualified sessions are those that have been accepted on this page by ticking the appropriate box in the lists described above.
- Published sessions are those that have been published for one or more attendee types.
- Scheduled sessions are those that have one or more instances scheduled for a date/time/location.
- These sessions can be edited or published through the Edit Session or Schedule tools.
Filter and View Options
- Filter options are available on Submitted, Under Review, and Approved lists.
- The filters include Track, Type, Min Score, Max Score, Review Percentage, Session Name, Session Code, and Session Description.
- The lists include the ability to view or edit sessions in their respective states.
