Settings: Custom Statuses

Updated: 3 years ago.

The Registration Status tracks the progress of a single Registration. Registration Statuses can be useful if the planner needs to put some kind of qualification on a Registrant before they are accepted. Registration Statuses can also be used to further organize attendees within an Attendee Type.

For example, you may have an Attendee Type called “Student”. Within that Attendee Type, you may have several Registration Statuses. “Need Student ID” can be one of those Registration Statuses. You can then easily run a report. You can also perform a mass action. A mass action can include sending out a reminder email to all Students who have not yet submitted a proof of Student ID.

An event can have any number of Custom Registration Statuses in addition to the 11 Standard Registration Statuses.

Creating a Custom Registration Status

1. Click Setup next to Attendee Statuses OR navigate to Plan > Event Setup > Custom Statuses > Add New . 2. Enter a Name and Description for the Custom Registration Status. 3. Select how the system should treat Registrations with this Status. The system can treat Registrations as Accepted, Pending, Cancelled, or Denied. 4. Click Save.

> Note: Registrations with a Registration Status counted as Pending cannot make payments on their balance due until their Registration Status is updated to one counted as Accepted. > If you create Custom Registration Statuses, be sure to select the appropriate status to count them toward.
