You can create sub-accounts within (under) your account, or within any other sub-accounts within your account.
Sub-accounts are useful if you manage events for client organizations, or if you manage events for other divisions of your company. Sub-accounts keep event and registration data separate from other accounts.

Select a Sub-Account
This section lists direct sub-accounts of the current account. The current account is the account showing at the beginning of the breadcrumb trail in the upper left corner.
The list may be a multi-page list.
Click a row to edit that sub-account.
How to Create a Sub-Account
Click Add New to create a new sub-account for the current account.
Account Settings
This section is displayed when you add a new sub-account or edit an existing one.Account Code
Account Code is used to uniquely identify each account. The Account Code is also the name of the directory used to store static files for that account. The static files include images, Excel spreadsheets, and PDF attachments.The Account Code is used in the profile Username calculation. This calculation applies if you use system-generated Username values.
Account Code must consist of only numbers and letters.
> Caution: Account Code must be unique regardless of case. For example, the code “MySubAccount” cannot match an existing sub-account Unique Code “mysubaccount”.
Since the system requires a unique code, you may need to try several values before the system accepts the code.
> Best Practice: Use the shortest code possible that uniquely identifies the account.
Support Rep
Support Rep is the user within your account who will provide front-line customer support for the client account.Parent Account
Parent Account is the account directly above the client account. In large organizations, the relationship between the account owner and the client account may go several levels deep.Customer ID Number
Customer ID Number is selected from two options.- Use parent account value is the default selection. Use parent account value unless you negotiated a separate billing agreement for the sub-account you are creating.
- Enter new customer ID should be selected only if you negotiated a separate billing agreement for the sub-account you are creating. Enter the Customer ID value provided by Certain in the field added here when this option is selected.
Active
Active is a check box that controls user access to the sub-account. When you create a sub-account, the Active check box is left clear by default. Select Active to enable users to access the account.Copy Custom Account Data
Copy Custom Account Data lets you copy Custom Account Data to the sub-account you are adding or editing.Custom Account Data includes Content Blocks and Custom Profile, Custom Event, and Custom Display Fields. The page links are:
Copy Custom Account Data can speed up and simplify the process of adding a sub-account when you create many sub-accounts.
The accounts you can select are:
- the current account
- sibling accounts (other sub-accounts sharing the same Parent Account)
- the sub-accounts of the current account
Account Information
Account Information is contact information for the sub-account’s primary contact.
Certain invoices will be sent to this contact.
