Changing The Event Code
- The Event Code creates a file path where files uploaded to the event are stored.
- Files uploaded for the Event setup, such as banner images used in Forms, are stored in this path.
- Files uploaded by registrants to Event level Registration questions are stored in this path.
- Changing the Event Code changes the file path that the system looks for these uploaded files.
- A changed file path can generate an error when attempting to access the files.
- A changed file path can cause images to be broken on Forms.
- A changed file path can prevent users from downloading files uploaded by registrants.
- The Event Code is used to configure the integration between Certain Platform and Touchpoint.
- Changing the Event Code will break the integration between Certain Platform and Touchpoint.
- A broken integration causes data to stop syncing.
- If the Event Code is changed accidentally, remedial options are:
- Change the Event Code back to its original value.
- If the new Event Code must be used, re-upload files in Plan > Configure > Display > Assets.
- Then edit any Custom HTML on the same page to use the new Relative Path.
- Note: If the Event is integrated with Touchpoint, submit a Support ticket to reestablish the Touchpoint integration with the new Event Code.
- The reestablishment of the Touchpoint integration may take some time.
- The best practice is to avoid changing the Event Code in Certain Platform after a Touchpoint integration has been set up.
