Access to API 1.0
Access to API 1.0 is available via Account Settings > Implementation > API.
Backwards compatibility
The API 1.0 page remains in place for backwards compatibility.
The backwards-compatibility applies to customers who have built integrations using Certain's legacy Web Services API 1.0.
Important note
All new integrations should be built using Certain API2.0.
API 2.0 authentication and prerequisites
API 2.0 uses basic authentication.
An API key is not required for API 2.0.
Two things are required:
- A Certain username and password for a user whose user profile has API Access enabled.
- Web Services must be enabled as an account-level product in the account you wish to access.
See documentation for developers at https://developer.certain.com/api2doc/.
