Creating a Password and Logging In

Most of our clients enable upfront login for events on their app, and sometimes enable upfront login for the app itself.

If an app does not have upfront enabled, much of the app is accessible without logging in.

To participate in interactive features such as attendee-to-attendee messaging or posting on the Activity Feed, you must log into the app.

If a password has not already been provided, you may create one.

Creating a Password

Overview: The email address with which you registered is the username.

When you request a password, the system emails a link to your registered email address.

The email link establishes your identity.

You may use the Set Password link in that email to create your own password.

You may also use the one-time-use password included in that email to log into the app for 15 minutes after the email is sent.

To create an account, your email address must be on the list of attendees.

To create an account, you must have access to that email address.

If someone other than you submitted your event registration, you may not have access to the email account on file.

Multiple people may have been registered with the same email address.

If your email address does not have access, contact the event planner.

Ask the event planner to have your unique email address entered into the system.

Steps to request and set a password

1. Click the Request a Password link in the app.

1. From the Event List screen on the app, select the Login button in the top navigation bar.

2. Alternatively, select an event from the list.

3. If logging in is optional for your event, the app shows the Login button at the top of the app’s side navigation menu.

4. Select the Request a Password button.

5. Enter your registered email address in the Email field.

6. Select Request Password.

7. If your email address is in the system, the system sends an email shortly.

3. Click the link in your email, and create a password.

1. Click the Set Password link in the email you received from donotreply@certaintouchpoint.com.

2. You will be taken to a website where you may enter and confirm the password of your choosing.

3. Your password must be at least 8 characters long.

4. Your password must include at least one upper case letter.

5. Your password must include at least one lower case letter.

6. Your password must include at least one number.

7. After you create a password, you will see a confirmation message that the password has been set.

8. Return to the event app and log in with your email address and the password you created.

> Please note: The email from donotreply@certaintouchpoint.com also contains an optional one-time-use password. > This one-time-use password allows you to log into the app with that one-time-use password for 15 minutes after the email is sent. > Once authenticated, you will not be logged out. > If the password expires before you log in, select the "Request a Password" link again. > The system will send another email with another optional one-time-use password.
