What is the process for setting up a custom connector with our existing APIs?
Set up a custom connector through Certain Signal by creating a Connection that points to your API, then building a Flow that maps event tags to the API fields you need.
1. Enable Signal Connector – In Certain Platform go to Account Settings > Implementation and open Signal Connector Real‑Time Data Integration. 2. Add a Connection – In Signal Connector’s left menu select Connections, click Add a Connection, and enter your API’s endpoint, authentication method (OAuth 2.0, API key, etc.), and any required credentials. 3. Define Tags – In the event platform, create tags for the data you want to sync (registration statuses, custom properties, attendee types, etc.) via Account Settings > Management > Tags. 4. Configure a Flow – Still in Signal Connector, choose Flows, select your new Connection, and map the tags to the corresponding fields of your API. Set any filters or conditions needed. 5. Activate – Save and activate the Flow; data will now flow from Certain to your API in real time.
