General FAQ - Creating an Event

In Certain you can create events in a number of ways. From the , there are three ways to start a new event. See the table below for the three methods and their advantages.

| Method | Advantage/Disadvantage | | --- | --- | | | Create an event from scratch if this is first event in your account, or if the event you need to create differs significantly from other events you have built in Certain. | | | The facilitates quick event deployment, and is useful if you need to build an event that's similar to another one already in your account. | | | Templates enable you to rapidly deploy events if you have several types of events you run periodically, which have a set of predefined characteristics that tend not to change from event to event, such as: Attendee types and fee structure Agenda Items Questions you need to ask on your forms Payment processing Form layout and structure An event marked as a template on the tab will appear on the Templates tab in the Event List, use the area to catalog the event types you commonly use so that you can save them for rapid deployment.
