Collect Profile Form Fields

- The list of Available Fields includes all standard Profile fields, plus any custom profile questions defined for the account by an administrator on Account Settings > Registration > Profile Data.
- Use the ->> and <<- buttons to move selected fields to and from the Available Fields box and Displayed Fields boxes.
- Use the Up and Down buttons to set the desired display order for the sections listed in the Displayed Fields box.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page after making your field selections so that you can customize the selected fields.
- Once you have selected the information you would like to collect in a Profile form and have clicked Save, you see a row displayed for each selected field.
- You can modify the information to change the display and behavior of each field as follows:
- Label is the field label that will be displayed on the Profile form.
- Require is the setting to collect data and require that an answer be provided.
- If a data field is collected, the data is validated and an error message returned if an error is found.
- For example, U.S. addresses are validated for 5 or 9 digit zip codes and email addresses are validated for the user@domain.xxx format.
- Read-Only is the setting to display data, but do not enable the online registrant to modify it.
- Read-only is useful for invitation events, for example, when you would like the invitee to be able to online, but don't want them to be able to transfer their invitation to someone else by changing the name fields.
- Note: If a field is marked as "Read-only", but there is not any data previously entered for that field, then an empty text form field will be shown and indicated as Required.
- This enables the registrant to provide the missing information.
- The following profile data must be collected at a minimum:
- First Name must be collected.
- Last Name must be collected.
- Email must be collected.
