These are the Devices and Printer Recommendations for using Certain Check-In.
Recommended Printers
Apple iOS
The only printers iOS devices work with are the AirPrint certified printers Apple lists here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201311
Windows 10/11
As Windows 10/11 devices (tablets/laptops/desktops) have USB ports, any printer can be hardwired (via USB) to the device to print.
Though this provides greater flexibility, additional work is required to go through the Control Panel > Printer settings to configure the badge to print correctly.
Within our offices and for acceptance testing we use:
For printers, we recommend any Brother QL series printer.
The recommended Brother QL series printer models are: QL-700, QL-710W, QL-720NW, QL-800, QL-810W.
Recommended Devices
We recommend iOS devices that have 64-bit chip architectures. The recommended iOS 64-bit chip architectures are Apple A7 chip and onwards. The recommended iOS devices are iPhone 5S and on, iPad Air and on, and iPad Mini 2 and on.
We recommend Microsoft Surface devices.
Within our offices and for acceptance testing we use:
- iPhone 11 (running iOS 16)
- iPad Mini 2 (running iOS 12)
- Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (running Windows 11)
