Check-In: Question Configuration

This is one of the pages on which you customize the app experience for Certain Check-In. Certain Check-In is the app you can use on-site to check attendees using a mobile device. For more background, see the overview in the Check-In > Basic help topic. Other topics are under See Also below.

On this page you select any custom profile and registration questions to ask during the check-in process. See Check In > Profile Configuration for the standard profile fields to be used.

Show these Questions in Check-In

The list shows up to 20 custom profile questions and registration questions.

To edit the label shown in the app for a question, type a new value in the text box for that field. To change the sequence in which questions are displayed in the app, drag questions up or down in the list.

To add questions to the list

1. Click Select Questions to Add or Remove. 2. Optionally, search for a question by typing any part of the question name in the Search field. 3. Optionally, select one of the Question Categories. The available categories are All, Registration Questions, or Profile Questions. Only the questions in the selected category are shown. If a search term is entered, the search term applies only to the questions in the selected category. 4. Note: Any questions selected on the Profile Configuration page are not available for selection here. The reverse is also true. Questions selected here are not available on the Profile Configuration page. 5. Select the check boxes of the questions to add to the list to be shown in the app. 6. For each selection: 7. To edit the label shown in the app for a question, type a new value in the text box for that field. 8. To change the sequence in which the questions are displayed in the app, drag the questions up or down in the list. 9. To make an answer Required, click the Off button to toggle it to On. Click On to change it back to Off. 10. Important: Click Use Selections. 11. The list of questions to be shown now includes those additions.

To remove questions from the list

Click the X at the end of the row for a question.
Alternatively, you can:

1. Click Select Questions to Add or Remove.

2. In the list of questions displayed, any already chosen questions have their check boxes selected.

3. Clear the check boxes for any questions to remove from the list to be shown in the app.

4. Click Use Selections.

5. The list of questions to be shown no longer includes those questions.

Always remember to click Save at the bottom of the page.
