Custom Fields

Custom fields allow you to add additional information to Attendees and Exhibitor Leads.

Custom Field Types

Custom Field Types include the following.

Attendee custom fields edit location

Attendee custom fields are editable under Design: Features and Layout > Features & Menu.

Read/Write Settings

Read/Write Settings define whether a custom field can be read and written by different roles.

Can Read

Can Write

Displayed within the App

Custom Field Values displayed under My Account

A custom field must be set to Can Read: Attendee or Can Read: Everyone as well as Can Write: Attendee in order for the custom field to be displayed under the My Account section of the app.

Custom Field Values displayed on the Attendee List

A custom field must be set to Can Read: Everyone in order for the custom field to be displayed under the Attendees list feature of the app.

Custom Field Values as Dynamic Data Fields (DDF)

In order to use the value of a Custom Field dynamically within the content of a Page feature, the custom field must be set to Can Read: Attendee.

The Custom Field value then shows as an option in the DDF dropdown within the WYSIWYG editor.

Exhibitor Leads - Custom Fields

Exhibitors can customize their lead form to suit their organization's needs.

Selecting "Manage Custom Fields" from the exhibitor's page within the VIP portal will present the custom field dialog.

Custom Fields set on an Exhibitor take precedent over any defaults set across all Exhibitors.

For instance, if a custom field of "Lead Type" were set for all exhibitors, and an individual exhibitor wished to keep that field and also add another field of "Rating", the individual exhibitor would need to create the "Lead Type" field again within their individual Exhibitor's fields as well as creating the "Rating" field.
