Custom fields are additional information fields assigned to Attendees and Exhibitor Leads.
Custom Field Types are Text, Rating, and Choice.
Attendee custom fields are editable under Design: Features and Layout > Features & Menu.
Read/Write Settings define who can read or write custom field values.
Read Access levels:
- Manager: Manager readers can view the custom field only within the Touchpoint CMS.
- Attendee: Attendee readers can view the custom field only by the attendee.
- Everyone: Everyone readers can view the custom field from the Attendee list within the app.
Write Access levels:
- Manager: Manager writers can edit the custom field only within the Touchpoint CMS.
- Attendee: Attendee writers can edit the custom field only from the attendee's profile page in the app.
Displayed within the App
To display a custom field under the My Account section of the app, the field must have Can Read: Attendee or Can Read: Everyone, and Can Write: Attendee.
To display a custom field under the Attendees list feature of the app, the field must be set to Can Read: Everyone.
Custom Field Values as Dynamic Data Fields (DDF)
To use the value of a Custom Field dynamically within the content of a Page feature, the field must be set to Can Read: Attendee. It will then show as an option in the DDF dropdown within the WYSIWYG editor.
Exhibitors and lead forms
Exhibitors can customize their lead form to suit their organization's needs. Selecting "Manage Custom Fields" from the exhibitor's page within the VIP portal will present the custom field dialog.
Adding custom fields is supported.
Custom Fields set on an Exhibitor take precedence over defaults set across all Exhibitors.
If a default field named Lead Type exists for all exhibitors, but an individual exhibitor wishes to keep that field and also add another field named Rating, the exhibitor would need to recreate the Lead Type field within their Exhibitor's fields as well as create the Rating field.
