This article explains how to configure a Section Header on form sections in the Certain platform. A Section Header can be configured on most pages that determine the appearance of a registration form. Enter the text required in the Section Header fields at the beginning of the form section configuration page. Examples include Plan > Forms > (form) > Registrant Details, Attendee Type, Agenda, etc. The header displays additional instructions or event information related to the particular section being configured. The text entered into the Section Header appears above the section elements themselves.
Section Header
Section Header is the set of fields configured at the beginning of a form section to show header information. The Section Header area is located at the start of the form section configuration. The content defined for the header is shown to the attendee.
Section Header Elements
There are three Section Header elements you can configure for most form sections:
Text Above Header
- Text Above Header is displayed above the header bar, at the top of the section.
- Text Above Header has a default value for some sections, such as "Please print the confirmation below for your records." for the Confirm section.
Header Text
- Header Text is displayed in the header bar (in a contrasting color).
- Header Text usually has a default value, such as "Personal Profile" for the Registrant Details section, or "Attendee Type" for the Attendee Type section.
Text Below Header
- Text Below Header is displayed directly below the header.
- Text Below Header has a default value for some sections, such as "an attendee type." (with HTML formatting) for the Attendee Type section.
Section Header Variants
Fewer Fields
- Some form sections may not have all three of those fields.
- For example, the Entry Section has no Text Below Header field, because the text of the page itself is configurable.
More Fields
- Some form sections may have additional fields in the Section Header.
- For example, the multiple Agenda sections and Custom HTML sections can each have their own customized Section Name.
Formatting
- The text in any of the three sections can be plain text, but may also include HTML tags.
- You can click the HTML editor icon (</>) to edit the text in an HTML editor, which opens in a separate pop-up window.
No Header
- If all the fields in the Section Header area of the page are left blank when configuring a form section, no header is shown for that section when the attendee views the form.
