Profiles Area Options
The Profiles area enables you to:
- Find Profiles — search for existing profiles.
- Edit Profiles — edit existing profiles.
- Add Profiles — create a new profile in the current account.
- Import Profiles — if the account is connected to a Salesforce.com account.
Profiles and Registrations
A new profile is created for each new registration that is entered into the database.
The creation occurs either from the Planner side or from the Attendee side.
A registration is tied to an existing profile if the registration already corresponds to one.
To link registrations to a single profile, attendees log in to the registration form Entry Page using their Username. Alternatively, attendees can invite the profiles to the event, creating an incomplete registration for each profile.
When you import registrations, profiles are created for each record at the same time. This occurs unless you import the Unique Profile ID or External Profile ID column. In those cases, the import will update profiles in the database that have the same Unique Profile ID or External Profile ID as a record in the import file. If the Unique Profile ID or External Profile ID in the import file does not match an existing profile in the database, a new profile will be created.
