Tier: Add/Edit
An Add Tier window opens when you click Add New on the Tiers page. An almost identical Edit Tier window opens when you click edit in the list of tiers on that page.
Add Tier or Edit Tier
Tier Name
Tier Name is a required field.
Tier Name must be unique in the event.
Examples of Tier Name include "Initial Review" and "Senior Team".
Due Date
Due Date is an optional date.
Due Date is a required field if you wish to add a Review Reminder email.
Due Date is mainly for Review Reminders.
Due Date does not automate anything else.
Due Date does not prevent reviewers being late.
Due Date can be selected from the calendar.
Due Date can be entered in mm/dd/yyyy format.
Due Date becomes a dynamic data field.
The dynamic data field can be added to a Reviewer Email Template.
Can see Reviews in Tier(s)
Can see Reviews in Tier(s) selects the tiers (if any) from which reviewers in this tier can see the reviews.
Example tier visibility includes the following case.
If there are four tiers, reviewers in the first tier might see no other reviews.
Reviewers in the fourth tier might see reviews from the third tier.
Reviewers in the fourth tier might also see all earlier tiers.
Privileges
Privileges allow reviewers to do more than just review and score sessions.
Allow reviewers to see Speaker details
Allow reviewers to see Speaker details enables reviewers in this tier to see a Speakers section.
The Speakers section contains details of the Master Speakers for a paper.
The Speakers details include Name, Type, Organization, Email, and Bio.
Allow reviewers to Edit sessions
Allow reviewers to Edit sessions enables reviewers in this tier to edit sessions.
Allow reviewers to Approve/Reject sessions
Allow reviewers to Approve/Reject sessions enables reviewers in this tier to approve sessions or reject them.
Sessions approved by reviewers in this tier skip reviews in subsequent tiers (if there are any).
Approved sessions are qualified for scheduling.
Sessions rejected by reviewers in this tier also skip reviews in subsequent tiers (if there are any).
Emails
Emails specify the Email Templates used for notifications that will be generated automatically and sent to reviewers.
Note: Default email templates are created automatically when you create the Speakers and Sessions Reviewer Portal. You can edit the default templates or add new ones on Promote > Communication > Reviewer Email Templates.
When Assigned
When Assigned is the email sent to all reviewers in this tier when a session is assigned to it.
The assigned session moves to the tier the session was just moved to.
The assigned session includes that session’s track and the tier it has just been moved to.
Note: Do Not Send Email
Note: You can select "Do Not Send Email" instead of selecting a template.
The "Do Not Send Email" option can be used if all reviewers review papers together in a single workshop.
Upon Review Completion
Upon Review Completion is the email sent to a reviewer when they complete their review of a session on this tier.
> Note: The following are available only when you select a Due Date.
Review Reminder
Review Reminder is the email sent automatically.
Review Reminder is sent at a frequency selected by the user.
Review Reminder is sent to a reviewer until the reviewer has completed a review.
Review Reminder is also sent until the Due Date has passed.
Select the frequency:
- Every day
- Once every Two days
- Once every Three days
> Note: Review reminders are not sent after the Due Date.
Day Before Due Date
Day Before Due Date enables the Review Reminder email to be sent on the day before the Due Date.
On Due Date
On Due Date enables the Review Reminder email to be sent on the Due Date.
Recommendations
Recommendations configure when Certain will give you an Approval Recommendation for a Session in this Tier.
You see recommendations on Speakers and Sessions Session Reviews Manage Reviews.
Add Recommendation
Add Recommendation adds fields that you complete.
For Column
For Column selects column:
- Score
- or a numeric Speakers and Sessions Setup Custom Fields custom field of class "Session Review"
Average Score is above
Average Score is above selects a score between 1 and 10.
OR the Percentage of Reviews completed is
OR the Percentage of Reviews completed is selects a percentage between 1 and 100.
Select one of these two radio buttons.
Target Tier
Target Tier requires selecting a tier.
The recommendation is to move the session on to that tier for review.
Example: Recommend moving a session from Tier 2 to Tier 3.
Approve
Approve approves the session.
Approve changes the session status to Qualified.
Process Recommendations Automatically
Process Recommendations Automatically enables processing of recommendations for sessions that have met their criteria.
Processing happens automatically within an hour or so.
If Process Recommendations Automatically is left clear, you must process recommendations on Speakers and Sessions Session Reviews Manage Reviews.
Clear Recommendation
Clear Recommendation clears the values in the recommendation fields.
Clear Recommendation removes the fields.
Note: Clear Recommendation is available only after you click Add Recommendation.
